13 months!

RPM, you turned 13 months on the 8th! I'm going to try to keep these next monthly posts short and simple in hopes to actually continue them until your second birthday! {but I'm realizing I'm going to need to do a better job of the short and simple part after this post kept growing & growing. next month maybe?}
I already did a little birthday post here, but I noticed that google+ did this little montage from the pictures and videos from the day. You got me google+...I loved it. Now give me more! ;)
My goodness do we love you and your fun personality. At 13 months you are loving:
-to bring us books to read! {yaaaay!} One of your favorites right now is Sophie's First Words...but you've kind of loved it so hard that it is falling apart. But you will start to chuckle the second we start reading it to you.
I was supposed to be going through that giant pile of clothes in the background but instead I read The Little Engine that Could 20+ times. {another favorite for sure!}
-to point to your eyes & say "eyes"! It is like your way of contributing to a conversation. I was talking to Teagan about getting some ice and you chimed in with pointing and saying "eyes!"! almost buddy, almost! ;)
-your belly button! You can be caught many times walking around with one hand up your shirt, just holding your belly button...or lifting your shirt to show everyone your belly button. obsessed really.

-your dad! {Some mornings you kind of pitch your own mini-fit because you don't want him to leave for work}
-stopping for snuggles! Most of the time you are on the go, but you are good for a quick snuggle. You'll climb in my lap and lay your head down for a second or come over and fall into me for a big bear hug while you're playing.

Other things you are loving to do this month:
-knock your head on anything and everything. purposefully because you think it is funny. {someone please tell me this is okay behavior and he'll turn out just fine.}
-head-butt us to give you kisses. You will head-butt my lips over and over to keep getting kisses.
thoooooseeee lips!

-play t-ball!

-watchDaniel Tiger. It only lasts for a few short minutes before your off to do the next thing, but the excitement you get when it first comes on reminds me of Teagan with Mickey Mouse. sweeeetness.

-chase the Roomba. And turn it on. and off. and on. and off. and on. and.....{we may have a broken one soon}
-say "cheeese" and give the cheesiest smile for pictures! The other day your "aunt" Hea was taking a picture of a rug in Target. The sound on her phone was on and when you heard it, I looked and you were saying cheeeeese and grinning big! {for the record....yes, I may take a lot of pictures but my phone is always on silent...so how you've connected that sound with saying cheese, I'm not sure.} And I don't think I could ever have enough pictures of it...it might be my favorite thing ever.

Things that you think are good ideas...

Just couldn't wait. And notice the pillow. I'm guessing that was to help break the fall.
rearranging the fridge.
I'm not sure why I've never thought to put the salad dressings with the salad.

New things this month:
-You had your first haircut!
-We started a music class while Teagan is in school. And we get to be in the same class with your best bud Ryan.

And just some other fun moments from the month...
First visit to Daddy's new job!
I mean how old do you look in these next two pictures. I may cry.
We love getting to spend time with our family!
Yeahhh, pretty sure those crocodile tears were because you bit mommy and your meal ended. {Poor guy. But let's be honest...poor mommy!}
I was squished in between the two car seats on the way to the lake...but then this happened. sweeetness.
{And as I'm looking back through all of these pictures, there aren't as many with you and T since she has started school 3 days a week. It makes me a little sad, but I'm loving the special times we're getting together.}
...and some more random videos from the month.

Reynolds Patrick, we love you more than our hearts can contain. You bring so much joy to our lives and we are so happy to call you ours!

I'll eat you up, I love you so!

Happy 1st birthday!

Reynolds McGuire....I absolutely cannot stand your cuteness. And at a whole ONE YEAR OLD your personality is growing so much...and with it, the cuteness! Ahhhh, this is such a fun stage! You are a funny little guy who is always on the move but you're also good for a little mama snuggle time too. There's a line in the book Where the Wild Things Are that says, "I'll eat you up I love you so!" And ohhhh, do we love you so! And we just.can't.stand.it.

This past month is a little bit of a blur. Probably because I'm posting an entire month late and I neglected to actually take notes in my phone about different milestones/exciting things this past month. Whoops, I'll try to let the pictures jog my memory.

You are walking all over the place now. You've also jumped several times! Although we haven't been able to get you to do it again since. You'll try but you don't get any air. But those first 3 times...you actually got air.

You seem to be in a better groove with sleep. You normally wake up at 6 but sometimes even as late as 6:30. While you aren't waking in the middle of the night quite as much, I can't say I'm 100% confident that you won't. It might be a little while longer before I'm able to leave you overnight.

You are huge. But that's kind of been the case from the start. You measured 32 inches (off the charts) and weighed 25 lbs, 14 oz (90th %ile). As the nurse said, "well...he's proportionate." You also wear a size SIX AND A HALF shoe. Gigantic foot like your dad.

Right when you turned a year you started getting the hang of some sign language and making an attempt at more words. You will sign please which has thankfully helped to quiet some of those screams at meal times. At 12 months {and a few weeks} you will say mama, dahh-deee, choo-choo (for train), and cheeeeeese to take a picture.

Teagan said, "Wellll, I think I need to get in there with him because he is sooo sweet and he is my brother."
Walk and park play date with your buddy Ryan!
First boo-boo and band aid from the lifeguards at the pool.
Happy 60th birthday to our Mammy!
We've since resorted to moving a large chair in front of the stairs since the gate wasn't working anymore.
First ride in the big boy car seat!
Sometimes things can get a bit dramatic.
Adjusting to our new schedule with Teagan's school and ballet was a little tough at first. ;)
This only lasted about 3 minutes...but I loved each one of them!
The start of Fall mornings! :)
Shoes!
Coffee, storytime, airplanes, and BELLIES!!!
Suddenly we went from you only swinging on the swings when we would go to the park to being able to climb up the slides and play like a big boy. I mean seriously...all.of.a.sudden. How in the world did this happen so quickly?!?
We LOVE going to the airport playground! And your hand stays in the air most of the time while we are there.
You love to give kisses!
Shopping for big boy shoes!
I'm still unsure of how I left the store without these. Whyyyy?!?
And the first pair that we actually bought!
Once upon a time, I was afraid you wouldn't like reading. Because well...you didn't like reading. But suddenly,  you love it! And you will bring us stacks of books to read to you.
i can't stand it. i really can't.
First birthday present from Nana & Papa! A pewter cup with your name. Nana still has hers from her first birthday!
Trip to Columbia to suprise Granny for her 90TH BIRTHDAY!!!
and a stop back through North Augusta to hang out with the Beauforts.
Last swim of the season!
We stayed in a hotel while in Columbia and you two kids thought it was the greatest thing ever. I'm not exactly sure why, but you did!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Picnic lunch at the airport for our birthday boy!

We had the Fosters over for dinner to celebrate yours and Emma's birthdays!
...and then we gave you extra snuggles!
Ohhhh my goodness do we love you so!
Video fun
And now, here are the last of the monthly pictures...

We love you to the moon and back little man!
