Happy 10 months!

Double digits?!? Is this real? I know the next two months are going to fly by, and I will then have a one year old! oh my word. I promise to try and be fully present in the moment rather than looking ahead to the next stage though. You are one fun girl. There really is no better word to describe this month than FUN. Your personality is coming out so much more, and we absolutely love it. You're full of the sweetest, cheesiest grins...showing off those 2 bottom teeth. Your laughs have always been hard to come by, but you've given us more of those too. We cherish those moments and do everything we can to keep you laughing, so we can hear that sweet sound. You've become quite the flirt--smiling at people and then burying your head into my chest only to peek out and smile again. Quite different from the "you're crazy...and I'm totally unimpressed" face that you used to give people. :)

You've gotten more interactive with playing games. You love when we play peek-a-boo, and we even play a little hide-and-seek where I hide and you crawl to come find me. You get so excited! You love bouncing and clapping to music. You also love to mimic faces or noises that we make.

You LOVE reading! Oh my goodness, I hope your love for that continues. If you are starting to get a little fussy, one of your favorite books is sure to calm you down. Sometimes you get so excited when we pull out one of your favorites that you kiss the cover of it. sweetness. Some of your favorites right now are Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?; Peek-a-Boo, I Love You; Baby Touch and Feel Baby Animals; and Brown Bear, Brown Bear.

You are getting really good at eating solids. You love strawberries, blueberries, bananas, cheese, and peas (although you think dropping the peas on the floor is a lot of fun-which has started the lessons in what 'no' means. We're slowly moving into a new parenting stage...a little scary!). You've started trying to share your food with me...super sweet. Yummiest, slimy bananas I've ever tasted. You also smack when you see a cup to let us know that you'd like some water.

You are pulling up so well now. You can even manage to grip my jeans and pull up as you hold on to my legs. It is quite pitiful/sweet when I'm preparing your bottle and you do that. Separation anxiety is starting to set in some, but you really are such an awesome baby that you rarely cry or get too upset. It is quite sweet though now that you can crawl and make your way to wherever your dad or I am. You've just started pointing too. Sometimes it is to show us what you want and other times it just seems like it is for fun. Sometimes you will wave bye-bye or clap by us just asking you to. You can now do sign-language for "all done."

You've now moved down to 2 naps a day. Sleeping from 7-6:30 on school days and until about 7:30 or 8 on the weekends. You are quite the trooper too...we've had a crazy schedule this past weekend with your Aunt Laudie's graduation and you only took ONE nap. I thought we were in for it, but you are such a wonderful baby to us. You love your schedule, but it makes me happy that you can be flexible if we really need you to be.
